Salvatore Noviello, founder of NSR, started his international racing activity in 1985. He raced from 1980 to 2005, when after heart problems Salvatore Noviello had to stop to race. His capability in creating special racing parts, leads NSR to conquer 13 World Championships (ISRA 1997 1/24 Eurosport with Salvatore Noviello, ISRA 2001 1/24 Production with Piero Castricone, IMCA 2001 1/24 Model Car with Salvatore Noviello, IMCA 2005 1/24 Model Car with Salvatore Noviello, ISRA 2006 1/32 Eurosport with Guido Santarelli, ISRA 2010 1/32 Formula 1 with Piero Castricone, ISRA 2012 1/32 Formula 1 with Piero Castricone, ISRA 2012 1/24 Production with Piero Castricone, ISRA 2014 1/32 Formula 1 with Piero Castricone, ISRA 2015 1/32 Formula 1 with Piero Castricone, ISRA 2017 1/32 Formula 1 with Piero Castricone, PLANET32 2019 GT-AM with Vladmir Basàk, PLANET32 2019 GT-PRO with Andrea Noviello) and more than 40 Italian Championships in any slot car racing categories: Eurosport, Metallic Production Model Car and Plastic Production Model Cars (GT-GT3-CLASSIC and more).

NSR is an Italian artisan Company making professional slotcars 100% here in Italy, into its factory.
New factory opened in mid 2010. It displays over 1.100 square meters; it is a building realised with modern techniques in a total respect of health and environment.
It is very comfortable, the walls are totally temperature insulated by aluminium padded panels, all the rooms where fellow workers assemble cars and parts, have controlled temperature by automatic power inverters as well as powerfull aspirators for the welding smoke.
There are photovoltaic panels laid on top of the roof to produce over 100.000 KW/year green power energy to totally satisfy our internal power need.
Inside the NSR factory work only young people, dynamic and motivated, enough to say that the average age it is of 22 years!
Depending on which category we decide to cover, we begin evaluating the model to be reproduced. Once the model is decided we proceed to request the necessary manufacturing licenses to the car manufacturer.
Aftewards, a 3d model is created, referring to original factory drawings, provided by the manufacturer, in order to obtain an extremely detailed exact replica of the car. The final result is an absolutely true to scale high level replica in perfect harmony with NSR’s own top mechanical performances.
To the bodyshell we add all the accessories to give the as more realistic as possible aspect to our model bearing in mind that we need to copy to top performing car such it is our constructive philosofy.
CAD/CAM files are used to create extremely precise production moulds with gold standard CNC machines.
Once all the component parts of each stamp are ready, they get assemblated and verified for the final tune up to then start with a short pre-production fase.
Before production, the moulds are accurately checked and then assembled and tested.
The body, rearview mirrors, wings and other parts are painted with the base color in a painting room. Usually 500 bodies at a time are painted, while accessories are painted in a separate session.
Once the parts are painted they are let dry in a sealed environment to prevent dust pollution.
Once the bodies and parts are dried up, they are brought to the pad printing room where the longest phase of the making of the model is done.
Depending on the complexity of final livery, different pad printing machines are used; with one, two or five colors, and in some cases a fully automated and complex machine is used.
One the bodies and the other parts are finished, they are brought back to the painting room for a final clear coat to preserve the decorations and for a shiny look.
The assembling fase is initially divided in two separated areas: the one related to the mechanical part and the other one dedicated to the completed bodyshell.
On one side the bare chassis gets dressed with all its parts till the motor wires are inserted into the guide as latest step.
Once the completed chassis is ready gets “married” with its body and we have the final product.
The bodyshells arrived from the lacquered fase, are examinated very accurately to free them from any paint or tampoos defect and in case are rejected.
The completed model car is submitted to the final total verification just in case something has been overlooked during the previous fases.
The moving parts get oiled for the track test and then the model eventually is posted inside its display box ready to be sent to distributors.
